Two teams, two continents, one goal: To disrupt the way the future of finance is discussed on a global scale.
The FinTech FaceOff 2018, a live, trans-Atlantic broadcast from both London and New York City, welcomed industry leaders for a spirited debate about the future of their industry. The British and US teams, comprised of two co-captains and eight team members each, went head-to-head in multiple formats, including one-on-one, partner-based, team-based, and audience choice question rounds. For Staging Solutions, herein lies the challenge: How to support this disruptive environment with ABSOLUTELY NO DISRUPTION?
Every moment of the discussions around customer trust in financial services and collaboration models was must-see. With two full hours on the clock, live polling, and final scores to be tallied, everything had to come off without a glitch.
Staging Solutions managed the trans-Atlantic FaceOff using satellite trucks in each broadcast location, and a third location for live switching. With uplink/downlink capabilities in the satellite trucks supporting the studios at the historic Empire State Building in New York and outside the Capgemini offices in London, a seamless interaction with open communication channels and without audio/video delay showcased the back-and-forth discussion as though everyone were in the same place. Each location welcomed a studio audience of approximately 50 people, and live-streamed to a global audience in the thousands. The FaceOff is a prime example of the hybrid style live broadcast Staging Solutions provides, incorporating presenters in the studio as well as in remote locations, in front of both live and remote audiences.
