Staging Solutions adopts a Hybrid Work Model, combining in-person and remote work.
We recognize the efficiency of the Hybrid Model, allowing employees to work remotely for focused tasks, reduced commute times, and flexibility around personal obligations. Effective communication is pivotal for this model. Whether remote or in-office, maintaining consistent communication channels is crucial.
Essential communication tools include the Outlook Calendar and Slack.
Due to the dynamic nature of our business and industry, workloads can vary considerably. Intense periods will demand extensive work hours, including shows, media, and fabrication projects. We value work-life balance and understand the importance of overcoming high-pressure deadlines. Communication remains the foundation for balancing intense work periods and slower-paced times. To delineate our working status, we introduce the following definitions:
Show Days: Regardless of the location, the primary focus is on our clients and deliverables. While virtual meetings may be feasible, client deliverables take precedence.
Office Days: In the office, signify availability. If focused work is needed, close the door and hang the ‘red tag.’ Update Slack status accordingly to inform colleagues.
Home Office Days: The same communication protocols apply. Use Outlook for scheduling and Slack for status updates. From 9 am – 5 pm, our employees will be work-ready and available. For personal interruptions, update Slack status or book an Outlook slot.
Personal/Mental Health Days: Vital for work-life equilibrium. After long working hours or weekend duties, take time for personal care. While employees should monitor urgent communications, we’ll restrict contact to emergencies only. Use these days for personal needs, not as an alternative to remote work.
Vacation Days: Predetermined, and unless specified, they are periods where employees will be unreachable. Get away from the office and enjoy life.
Sick Days: Health first. If unwell or a risk to others’ health, please communicate with the team. Remote work isn’t a substitute for sick days.
Guidelines:
– While self-management is encouraged, Staging Solutions values the synergy and productivity of SSGRB and SSMain offices.
– Being physically present isn’t mandatory daily, but collaboration and timely task completion are. Ensure your progress doesn’t impede others.
– The ‘Whereabouts’ channel on Slack indicates your work status for the day. Update if plans change but avoid hourly specifics.
– Utilize Slack’s STATUS for real-time availability changes, like ‘at lunch’, ‘leaving early,’ or ‘arriving late.’
